What is NETPark Net?
NETPark Net is a virtual innovation support network which complements the North East Technology Park (NETPark), Sedgefield, County Durham - the North East's premier science, engineering and technology park. NETPark Net enables all science, engineering and technology companies located in County Durham or the North East of England to access a range of business support services
How can it help me?
NETPark Net members are part of an innovative, like-minded community that enables companies to flourish, grow and compete with the best in the world. We offer a range of services to companies of all sizes from the simple provision of an address, a phone number and use of meeting rooms at the NETPark Incubator right up to rapid response market research and support in turning new technology or ideas into a commercial success.
Who is it for?
Companies at all sizes and at all stages of maturity throughout County Durham and the North East - from pre-start up right through to multinationals. The only common factor is a focus on science, engineering and technology.
How much does it cost?
Companies can sign up to a different service levels depending on need. The basic NETOne membership offers free access to the NETPark Net community and companies can either pay for a core service starting at £99 per year and pay for other services on an "as and when" basis, or take on one of the more inclusive membership packages. This can often be more convenient and cost-effective, providing access to a wider selection of services and facilities without paying each time. Some services, such as individual legal advice are not part of any of the packages.
Who manages NETPark and NETPark Net?
NETPark and NETPark Net are managed and promoted by County Durham Development Company (CDDC) which is the strategic innovation and investment arm of Durham County Council. The NETPark Net project is part financed by the European Union’s ERDF Competitiveness programme 2007-13, securing £0.22m of ERDF investment through the Regional Development Agency One NorthEast. The ERDF programme is bringing over £250m into the North East to support innovation, enterprise and business support across the region. This project has received funding from Durham County Council through County Durham Development Company.
