About Me
I am a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and cut my teeth as principal equity partner in my own practice. I have been involved in a variety of work ranging from auditing a Plc to corporate finance, management consultancy and tax planning for the SME market.
I have also been a shareholder and managing director of my own SME and achieved a significant turnaround in the competitive sports goods market where very high growth and profit improvement were achieved despite intense competition and challenging financial constraints. During this time I established subsidiaries and distributors overseas and the company became the European leader in its market.
More recently I have held FD and CFO roles in businesses involved in engineering, catering, restaurants, and product development for the on-line marketplace, where I have managed finance, reporting, acquisitions, MBO’s and business disposals.
I left my accountancy practice because I enjoy being close to the operations and commercial activities of businesses and believe that mentoring colleagues is an important role for senior management.
