A NU programme for entrepreneurs in the making...
2009-12-17Member News
The NU Enterprise Programme, delivered by a top team of leading entrepreneurs and business experts, is a flexible and intensive six-week programme of free evening workshops for Newcastle University students and alumni who are already in business or looking to get started.
The programme offers practical first-hand advice and insight into our entrepreneurs' own experiences - the perfect recipe for inspiring and preparing you for your own business venture. It's also a great opportunity to meet like-minded people. The programme comprises:
Starter Sessions - an opportunity for prospective entrepreneurs to find out what is involved in setting up a business - from generating and evaluating ideas to marketing your business effectively.
Master Classes - aimed at those who already have an idea and a commitment to making it happen, as well as those already running their own business. These sessions take a more in-depth look at topics such as market research, raising and managing finances and keeping it legal.
Making Connections - a one-off networking event that gives you the chance to chat informally to a host of business experts and entrepreneurs.
The programme begins on 26th January 2010 and runs for six weeks. To find out more, and to sign up for the programme, log onto the Events page, http://www.ncl.ac.uk/careers/events , on the Careers Service website. If you would like to discuss the programme further, please contact Claire.Adamson@ncl.ac.uk
The NETPark Net project is part financed by the European Union’s ERDF Competitiveness programme 2007-13, securing £0.22m of ERDF investment through the Regional Development Agency One NorthEast. The ERDF programme is bringing over £250m into the North East to support innovation, enterprise and business support across the region. This project has received funding from Durham County Council through County Durham Development Company.
