Newcastle Science City's vision is to enhance prosperity from science in Newcastle.

It aims to capitalise on the world-class scientific research being conducted in Newcastle for the economic and social benefit of the City and wider region, and to create an environment that enables science and business to work together effectively.

Already, millions of pounds have been invested in research and facilities to rival anywhere in the world. This investment is focussed on Newcastle's existing strengths in ageing and health, energy and environment, molecular engineering, and stem cells and regenerative medicine.

Just one ambitious project is the former Scottish & Newcastle Brewery. This iconic site, in the centre of the city, is being developed into a revolutionary hub where scientists and researchers can mix with business people and the community.
