Physics Meets Biology 01/09/10
Biologically inspired Physics is an extraordinarily wide field, covering the behaviour of systems from single molecular machines to organisms and even ecosystems. Physics Meets Biology 2010 will provide a broad view of the most recent and exciting research across a broad range of topics and scales: its scope includes physical probes and imaging, bionanotechnology, molecular machinery, cytoskeletal mechanics, signalling, control, neural systems, development, evolution and ecology. There will be a special session devoted to teaching Biological Physics. The conference is organized around an international programme of invited speakers and will include contributed talks and poster sessions. .
The vision for CELS is to become the strategic architect and co-ordinator of the healthcare economy of North East England by acting as a catalyst delivering economic growth by conditioning technology and innovation which it identifies and develops, combining knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship, infrastructure and networks to create a compelling environment for further investment.
