NETPark Net is the North East regional partner for the Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network, which supports the electronic design community across the UK, driving innovation to maintain excellence for innovative electronic design.
Knowledge Transfer Networks are initiatives supported by the Technology Strategy Board designed to promote specific market sectors or technologies.
The Electronics KTN is pulling together the network of the UK's capabilities across the electronics value chain, from research through to design and product development, and including sales and operations creating a community rich with potential collaborative partners.
The work of the KTN can be broadly divided into three main activities:
- The Capability Directory - a fully searchable listing of UK electronics companies to promote knowledge transfer and networking.
- Regional KTN activities - delivered by organisations aligned with the Regional Development Authorities or Devolved Authorities.
- National Program - a set of national themes and conferences covering emerging technologies, areas of excellence and good business practice relating to the electronics industry.
